Hurricane Claudia
in Portugal killed three people and injured dozens more on Saturday (15/11).This disaster also caused flooding in Wales and England.
This storm left three people dead, namely an elderly couple in a flooded house in Fernao Ferro, across the Tagus River from Lisbon.
Meanwhile, one 85-year-old British woman was killed according to Portugal’s regional civil protection commander Vitor Vaz Pinto in the camping area.

He also said that 28 people were injured at a hotel near the location and two people were being treated in hospital.
“Sympathy to the families of the victims who died,” said Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa and prayed for recovery to the injured victims, quoted by Reuters.
According to the Portuguese weather agency IPMA they raised the status of the Algarve and the districts of Beja and Setubal to yellow alert or the second highest warning level.
This tornado came to Albufeira south of Portugal and nearby parts of Spain due to the extreme conditions caused by Hurricane Claudia.Major flooding also hit the town of Monmouth and surrounding areas in southeast Wales.
“Storm Claudia caused flooding across parts of Wales overnight, impacting homes, businesses, transport and energy infrastructure,” a Welsh government spokesperson said.
Aerial footage shows flooding in Monmouth entering the town center and residential areas after a nearby river overflowed overnight.
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service carried out rescue operations, evacuations and checking residents.
Natural Resources Wales issued 11 flood warnings, with four in the severe category, and 17 alert warnings.
Meanwhile in England, reports from the Environment Agency, as many as 49 active flood warnings and 134 alert warnings.
