At this close, 247 stocks rose, 403 corrected, and 152 stagnated.
It was observed that eight of the 11 sectoral indices weakened, led by the raw goods sector which was minus 1.23 percent.Meanwhile three other sectors strengthened, led by the property sector which rose 0.6 percent.
Turning to foreign exchanges, stock exchanges in the Asian region were observed to have varied movements.
It was recorded that the Nikkei 225 index in Japan weakened 0.14 percent and the Straits Times index in Singapore minus 0.06 percent.On the other hand, the Shanghai Composite index in China added 0.53 percent and the Hang Seng Composite index in Hong Kong rose 0.17 percent.
Likewise, European stock exchanges were also observed to have varied movements.It was recorded that the DAX index in Germany rose 0.23 percent, while the FTSE 100 index in England was minus 0.16 percent.
Meanwhile, the American stock exchange was observed to be green.The S&P500 index rose 0.46 percent, the Dow Jones index added 0.16 percent, and the NASDAQ Composite index rose 0.57 percent.
