eliminated from the 2025 U-17 World Cup.
The Indonesian U-17 national team failed to qualify for the round of 32 of the 2025 U-17 World Cup after only occupying 10th place in the best third place standings.
In three matches in Group H, Indonesia only won once when they beat Honduras 2-1.Meanwhile, in the other two matches, Indonesia lost 1-3 to Zambia and 0-4 to Brazil.

This defeat resulted in Indonesia being eliminated after losing on goal difference to teams such as Mexico, Tunisia, the Czech Republic and Morocco.
“Thank God and I still can’t believe I’m at this point where I can guide these young players playing at the highest level of U17 World Cup football,” said the U-17 National Team coach, Nova Arianto, in a post on Instagram.
The former assistant to Shin Tae Yong in the senior Indonesian National Team also apologized to the public for failing to meet public expectations of qualifying for the knockout rounds of the 2025 U-17 World Cup.

“I want to apologize because our journey can only reach the Group phase of the U17 World Cup and I hope that in the future all players can progress well through the U17 World Cup this time,” said Nova.
On this occasion, Nova also thanked the management, staff and players for their hard work so far.
“I also want to thank all the players who have been involved, managers and official staff of the U17 National Team for all your hard work because since this team was formed from the beginning of 2024 until now, there have certainly been many sacrifices made by both players and staff until we finally reached our final goal of the U17 World Cup,” said Nova.
Even though they were eliminated, the U-17 Indonesian National Team made history after achieving their first victory in the U-17 World Cup by beating Honduras.
