SEA Games
in December 2025.
The Indonesian U-23 national team is currently undergoing strengthening before competing in the SEA Games at the end of this year.The match against Mali is part of the preparation.
Currently there are 30 players who are in the training camp for the U-23 Indonesian National Team.Previously there were three players who were dropped, namely Luke Xavier Keet, Muhammad Mishbah and Reycredo Beremanda.

With the remaining 30 players, Indra will still carry out more selections before determining the final squad that will be taken to the SEA Games.
After the match against Mali, Indra gave an explanation about the players who would be brought to Thailand to defend their SEA Games gold.
“Around 80-90 percent of them [players playing tonight] have the chance to be part of the final squad, especially the eleven players who appeared from the start,” said Indra.
Thus, the players who started the Indonesian U-23 National Team vs Mali, such as Cahya Supriadi, Kadek Arel, Kakang Rudianto, Frenky Missa, Raka Cahyana, Dony Tri Pamungkas, Ivar Jenner, Mauro Zijlstra, Rahmat Arjuna, Ananda Raehan, and Rafael Struick have a big chance of joining the Indonesian U-23 National Team for the SEA Games.
Competition to be part of the Indonesian National Team at the 2025 SEA Games is quite tight because there are still a number of players with big reputations who played as substitutes in the match against Mali, such as Toni Firmanysah, Robi Darwis, Rivaldo Pakpahan.
Meanwhile, players who did not play but were on the bench included Dion Markx, Hokky Caraka, Jens Raven and Zanadin Fariz.
Not to mention the players who are not on the bench at all, but have not been dropped, such as Arkhan Fikri, Muhammad Rayhan Hannan, Brandon Scheunemann, and Alfharezzi Buffon.
