, the FIFA Peace Prize is called football’s version of the Nobel Peace Prize.This award will be given by FIFA every year.
“FIFA announces the launch of the ‘FIFA Peace Awards – Football Unites the World’ to recognize individuals who have performed extraordinary actions for peace and thereby have united people around the world,” wrote FIFA.
According to Infantino, this award will strengthen football’s moral responsibility to unite society.
“In an increasingly unstable and divided world, it is critical to recognize the extraordinary contributions of those who work hard to end conflict and unite societies in a spirit of peace,” Infantino said.
Interestingly, the FIFA Peace Prize coincides with Trump’s ongoing preoccupation with the Nobel Peace Prize.
Trump failed to win the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize. This year the Nobel was awarded to the Venezuelan opposition leader, Maria Corina Machado.
