will be a duet with Byeon Woo-seok in the latest Korean drama entitled Perfect Crown and will air in 2026.
The Korean drama was originally titled Wife of a 21st Century Grand Prince and was written by Yu Ain.This drama was directed by Park Joon-hwa, director of Alchemy of Souls and What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim.

Perfect Crown is said to be set in a reinterpreted modern Korea but in a constitutional monarchy system.The drama promises to be a “heartwarming” romantic comedy.
In the drama produced by MBC and broadcast on Disney+ , IU will play Heeju, the second heir to one of the largest conglomerates in Korea.Meanwhile, Byeon Woo-seok will play Grand Prince Wan.
This series will tell the story of Grand Prince Wan who is a member of the public’s favorite kingdom and is involved in a power struggle with other members of the royal family.
“Under pressure to get married, he enters a marriage with Heeju, the heiress of a Korean conglomerate. Even though the two work together to achieve their respective goals, things don’t go as smoothly as planned,” Disney+ wrote in a statement on Thursday (13/11).
Perfect Crown is IU’s latest drama after last year she attracted attention through the drama When Life Gives You Tangerines (2025).
Meanwhile for Byeon Woo-seok, he previously played in the dramas Lovely Runner and No Gain No Love in 2024.
Apart from the two of them, this Korean drama will also star Noh Sang-hyun, Gong Seung-yeon, Yoo Su-bin, Lee Yeon, and Chae Seo-an.
The drama whose script won the 2022 MBC Drama Script Contest was originally going to be broadcast in the second half of 2025. However, this drama underwent changes to the broadcast schedule until it was finally decided that it would be released in 2026.
