DKI Jakarta Provincial Government
collect and distribute aid to residents affected by disasters
flood
and landslides that hit a number of areas on the island of Sumatra.
Assistance is delivered through the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) with the support of all Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD), DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.
“We acted quickly and immediately responded to the disaster that occurred in Sumatra. I ask that aid be collected no later than today, Saturday (29/11), so that it can be sent immediately,” said Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Rano Karno, quoting his statement, Saturday (29/11).

BPBD DKI Jakarta distributed a thousand packages of ready-to-eat food, blankets, and equipment for families and children.
Apart from that, assistance from BUMD DKI Jakarta also flows from various sectors.The assistance provided is in the form of basic necessities ranging from rice, cooking oil, granulated sugar, to tanks of clean water and other basic necessities.
Rano said that intensive coordination continues to be carried out so that the aid collected is truly in line with the needs of residents in the field.
The participating BUMDs are PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya, PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol, PAM Jaya, PT Jakarta Tourisindo, Dharma Jaya, PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (JIEP), Jamkrida, PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), MRT Jakarta, PAL Jaya, Transjakarta, Pasar Jaya, and Sarana Jaya.
Flash floods submerged dozens of districts and cities in three provinces on Sumatra Island, namely North Sumatra, Aceh and West Sumatra in the last few days.
BNPB recorded that the number of deaths in the three provinces reached 303 people as of this afternoon, Saturday (29/11).
In detail, the most deaths came from North Sumatra, namely 166 people.Followed by West Sumatra with 90 people, and Aceh with 47 people who died.
Meanwhile, the number of missing people in North Sumatra is 143 people, Aceh 51 people, and West Sumatra 85 people.
