Cilli mentioned a number of interesting profiles of Idzes which made Milan pay attention.Apart from being still young at 25 years old, Idzes is a versatile defender and is believed to be able to continue to develop.
“AC Milan is interested in Sassuolo defender Jay Idzes. Currently there has been no direct contact between the two clubs, but the player is of interest to the club [AC Milan],” wrote Cilli.
“Because of his age, room for development and flexibility in a back three [he can fill all roles in this formation]. Idzes is under contract with Sassuolo until 2029.”
Jay Idzes is coach Fabio Grosso’s mainstay to fill the heart of Sassuolo’s defense this season.Since being recruited from Venice at the start of this season, the Indonesian national team captain has appeared in 12 matches.
