Jennifer Lawrence
seems unsure if he will still be able to discuss politics or President Donald Trump openly like many other Hollywood stars.
According to JLaw when speaking in The Interview from the New York Times, her experience of openly attacking Trump during the first term provides many lessons for now.

“I really don’t know if I should [talk about politics]. The first Trump administration was wild and how could we just let it go? It was like running around like a headless chicken,” Lawrence said.
“But as we’ve learned, from election to election, celebrity has absolutely no bearing on who people vote for,” he said.
So, what do I do?I’m just sharing my opinion on something that will add fuel to the fire that is dividing this country.”We are so divided,” JLaw was reported to have said
Variety
on Saturday (1/11).
Lawrence feels that her position as a celebrity and actress also makes her position even more complicated. If he speaks and offends certain groups, it could be that it will shake up the film that is being shown.
Several films that have been shown have been subject to boycotts, such as Snow White featuring Gal Gadot. The live-action film became a victim of a boycott considering that Gal Gadot supports Israel which is carrying out genocide against Palestine.
Not just movies.Several other works of art in the United States were also subject to boycotts simply because of political differences, one of which was when Taylor Swift openly supported Democratic candidates. At that time, Swift was also subject to a boycott from Republican Party supporters.
“I don’t want to turn people off from films and works of art that can change consciousness or change the world because they don’t like my political opinions,” Lawrence said.
“I want to protect my work so that you can still be immersed in my work. And if I can’t say something that can bring peace or lower the temperature or a solution, I don’t want to be part of the problem,” he said.

“I don’t want to make matters worse… You see the faces of actors who have had incredible careers and made incredible contributions, and then half the internet doesn’t want to see their faces anymore.I’m so sad for those people, and it feels so wrong.”
Therefore, he is currently trying to change the way he conveys political views through the work he produces.
Several of Lawrence’s film projects have political themes, such as Bread and Roses (2021), which follows the story of three Afghan women amidst the impact of the Taliban attack.
In addition, the documentary Zurawski v Texas concerns Texas women who sued the government because of a very strict law prohibiting abortion, even though the fetus could not be saved.
