.Funeral prayers were held at the Asy Syariff Mosque, BSD, South Tangerang City.
Antasari Azhar’s attorney Boyamin Saiman as well as his relatives and son-in-law also participated in praying for the body.Antasari Azhar died at the age of 72 and left behind two children and seven grandchildren.

After offering prayers, the body of the man born in Pangkal Pinang, March 18 1953, was immediately taken into an ambulance and headed to San Diego Hills, Karawang, West Java for burial.
“I met Mr Antasari before he was free, still in Tangerang. I didn’t follow his progress, it turned out he had a lot of illnesses, even though he wasn’t that old, he was only 72 years old,” said Jimly, Saturday (8/11).
“Pray that the deceased will be accepted by Allah and forgiven for all his mistakes,” he said.

It is known that the former Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Antasari Azhar, died due to illness and being infected with a virus.This was stated by the deceased’s son-in-law, Ardiansyah.
The man born in Pangkal Pinang on March 18 1953 died at the age of 72 at his home in the Les Belles Mainsons E-10 Housing Complex, North Serpong District, South Tangerang City.The deceased died at 10.57 WIB.
“But thank God he (deceased, ed) wanted to die at home. When he said I wanted to die at home, he wanted to go home,” said Ardiansyah, Saturday (8/11/2025).
Ardiansyah said that the deceased was treated in hospital, but the doctor allowed it.”So we took him home and early in the morning he was in critical condition, maybe he was already old,” he said softly.
He also represented the bereaved family, apologizing for the deceased’s mistakes during his life.During his tenure as Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and at the Prosecutor’s Office, he apologized for the mistakes and oversights of the deceased.
“I ask for prayers from media colleagues and the public, hopefully the deceased will be Khusnul Khotimah. Once again, from the representative family, I apologize, that’s all from us,” he said.
