Jonathan Bailey
was named the World’s Sexiest Man aka People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive 2025. This year marks the 40th anniversary of this annual title for world celebrities.
Bailey’s name was announced on Monday (3/11) evening on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.On that occasion, Bailey opened his voice about the title.

“It’s the honor of a lifetime,” Bailey said.”And I want to say, Jimmy, thank you so much for turning it down so I could be here.”
Bailey told Fallon that he knew he would be awarded the Sexiest Man Alive title in early 2025, when he was involved in the staging of Richard II.
“The only thing crazier than playing Richard II is being invited here,” Bailey reportedly said

“And also in 2025, I’m quite happy that People Magazine invited someone to bestow this award on someone who truly appreciates the value of a sexy man.”
Born on April 25 1988, Jonathan Bailey is known for his acting work across the world of acting, from drama, comedy, musicals, both in front of the camera and on the theater stage.
The British actor began his career in acting as a child at the Royal Shakespeare Company and appeared in the West End in the production of Les Miserables.
On the small screen, Bailey starred in the action-adventure series Leonardo (2011-2012) and the musical comedy Groove High (2012-2013), then became increasingly known for the crime drama Broadchurch (2013-2015) and the comedy Crashing (2016).
However, Bailey’s name only really became global after starring in the series Bridgerton (2020-present) as Lord Anthony Bridgerton.He also starred in Wicked in 2024, Jurassic World Rebirth and Wicked For Good in 2025.

Jonathan Bailey adds to the long list of Hollywood male celebrities who have been named Sexiest Man Alive.Before Bailey, there are John Krasinski in 2024, Patrick Dempsey in 2023, Chris Evans in 2022, Paul Rudd in 2021, Michael B Jordan in 2020.
Since it was first held in 1985, only four male celebrities have won this title more than once, namely Richard Gere in 1993 and 1999, Brad Pitt in 1995 and 2000, George Clooney in 1997 and 2006, and Johnny Depp in 2003 and 2009.
