prepare a free motorbike transportation program (
motis
) during the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year holidays (
Nataru
).
KAI Main Director Bobby Rasyidin explained that the motis program was a collaboration with the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation.This program can be enjoyed by 12,720 passengers and transports 5,568 motorbikes.
“We ensure that KAI services are ready to support people to enjoy year-end travel safely and smoothly,” said Bobby in an official KAI release, Tuesday (25/11).

Specifically, the motorbike program will run from 23 December 2025 to 30 December 2025. There is also a free motorbike transportation period from 2 January to 5 January 2026.
Bobby explained that registration for the motis program is open from December 1 2025 to January 4 2026, spread across 14 stations that have been determined by KAI.
“We set safety as the main goal, maintaining travel performance, and increasing customer comfort at all stages of the journey from before departure to after arriving at the final station,” said the CEO.
The company also provides a 30 percent discount for commercial economy class travel with a quota of up to 1,509,080 customers.This applies to 156 regular trains and 26 additional trains.
According to Bobby, the long Christmas and New Year holidays are an important momentum for Indonesian people to gather with their families.
Nataru is also claimed to be able to increase business activity and stimulate the local economy.
This year, KAI Group provides a transport capacity of 49,635,448 seats, an increase of 8.9 percent compared to 2024.
There were 40,493 train trips which also increased from the previous Nataru, KAI even added 54 intercity train trips per day.
