Kickboxing Brings Indonesia to Win 61st Gold at the 2025 SEA Games

The Indonesian team has currently managed to collect 61 gold medals at the 2025 SEA Games as of Tuesday (16/12) afternoon WIB.The additional gold this time was donated by the sport of kickboxing.
Indonesia’s 61st gold was presented by Riyan Jefri Hamonangan Lumbanbatu after defeating Thai athlete Jakkrit Kongtook in the men’s K-1 60kg class.
“Indonesia has again won the top position at the 2025 Thailand SEA Games. From the kickboxing sport, Riyan Jefri Hamonangan Lumbanbatu successfully defeated Jakkrit Kongtook, the host representative and secured a gold medal,” wrote a statement from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Previously, Indonesia also won a gold medal through Fany Febriana Wulandari who won the individual trap event at the 2025 SEA Games. This was the 60th gold medal for Indonesia.
The other seven gold medals came from chess, weightlifting, triathlon and rowing.
These positive results further confirmed Indonesia’s position in second place with 61 gold, 69 silver and 65 bronze medals.
However, Indonesia is still far below Thailand, which is increasingly rising to the top position.The White Elephant Country contingent is at the top of the standings with 152 gold, 91 silver and 64 bronze.
