Indonesian men’s rock climbing athletes,

, won ranking one in the world ranking of men’s speed number, defeating the record holder of the fastest time of the Paris 2024 Olympics, Samuel Watson, from the United States.
Based on the official website of the International Federation of Sport Climbing (

) Kiromal managed to collect a total of 4,255 points.The points are obtained through various international championships.
This achievement made him 571 points ahead of Watson who came in second place with a total of 3,684 points.
Kiromal points continue to increase thanks to significant results in a number of rock climbing world cups that they participated in.One of his best achievements was to win a gold medal at the IFSC Denver World Cup, United States, on June 2, 2025.
Meanwhile, Kiromal’s teammate who is also a gold medalist in Paris 2024 Olympics, Veddriq Leonardo, has decreased ranks.
Veddriq declined to 12th place in the world with 1,640 points after unsatisfactory results in several World Cup editions he participated in since the beginning of 2025.
Another Indonesian rock climbing athlete Raharjati Nursamsa, also showed a promising performance by ranking the eight world thanks to 2,310 points.
All Indonesian rock climbers have the opportunity to improve their position through the 2025 World Games which was held in Chengdu, China, on August 7-17.The qualifying round for the speed number is scheduled to start Thursday (8/14) afternoon WIB.
