“Mr President (Prabowo) in the APEC forum has said that online gambling is a cross-border organized crime. PPATK reports that the number of online gambling transactions (judol) throughout 2025 will reach IDR 155 trillion or down 57 percent compared to the previous year which touched IDR 359 trillion.
The decrease in transactions is believed to have influenced the decrease in deposits related to judol. In 2024, the total deposit amount of judol players will reach IDR 51 trillion. However, this year it only reached IDR 24.9 trillion or a decrease of more than 45 percent.
Apart from blocking sites, he stated that the government, through the Ministry of Communications and Digital, was also blocking accounts affiliated with judol.
