) Polri launches digital application for making driving licenses (
driver’s license
) and extension of Vehicle Registration Certificate (STNK).
National Police Traffic Corps Regional Director Brigadier General Wibowo said the launch of the two digital applications was part of the National Police’s reform in the field of public services.
He explained that through the Sinar (National Precision SIM) and Signal (National Digital Samsat) applications, it is hoped that the service process for the community can be faster, more transparent and efficient.

“The revitalization of the Regional Directorate is part of the reform of Polri services. We want to provide public services that are more accessible, efficient and free of extortion,” he said in a written statement, Monday (10/11).
He explained that with the Sinar application, people can renew their SIM A and SIM C online without having to queue at the Satpas.
Wibowo said the registration process, health checks and payments will be done digitally and the SIM will be sent directly to your home via postal service.
Meanwhile, through Signal, motor vehicle owners can easily pay motor vehicle tax online.
This application, he said, is connected to Jasa Raharja and Bapenda’s systems throughout Indonesia.So that people can pay taxes without having to come to the Samsat office.
“Aside from saving time, digital systems also reduce the potential for deviation, because the entire process is recorded and can be monitored transparently,” he said.
Apart from these two applications, Wibowo said that currently his party is developing the E-BPKB system or Electronic Motor Vehicle Owner’s Book and Digital ID Registry.
He said that these two programs were planned to be part of the National Police’s digital service ecosystem which would be integrated with national data.
“We want all regional services to be connected in one digital Polri system. By integrating data and utilizing AI technology, we can increase the validation, accuracy and speed of public services in the traffic sector,” he said.
