“From the marathon searches carried out at three points, the KPK secured a number of documents,” said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo at the Red and White Building, Jakarta, Tuesday (16/12) evening.
Budi explained that investigators would later review and analyze these documents to support the disclosure of the alleged corruption case that involved Central Lampung Regent Ardito Wijaya and his friends.
“Of course the first focus is on the construction of the main case, which is related to bribery for procurement projects in the Central Lampung region. From this activity of being caught red-handed, we found the alleged fact that the Regent of Central Lampung set project fees of 15 to 20 percent for a number of procurement projects in the Central Lampung region,” said Budi.
“Then secondly, in this caught red-handed activity, the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) also discovered alleged facts about bribery for the medical equipment procurement project at the Health Service, so in this cluster the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) also designated the private sector as the party giving the bribe, yes, in the construction of the bribery case for the medical equipment procurement project at the Health Service,” he continued.
