Corruption Eradication Commission
(KPK) held a Hand Arrest Operation (
OTT
) earlier this week by arresting the Regent of Central Lampung

“It is true that the Regent of Lampung is being detained,” said Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission Fitroh Rohcahyanto when confirmed via a written message regarding the arrest of the Regent of Central Lampung, Wednesday (10/12) evening.

Apart from the regent, the KPK also arrested a number of other parties.Based on the information received, a member of the Central Lampung DPRD was also arrested.
The arrest was reportedly related to alleged bribery regarding the ratification of the Draft Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (RAPBD).
The parties caught red-handed are being taken to the KPK’s Red and White House to undergo further examination.The plan is for them to arrive at the KPK office on Wednesday evening.
Based on the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP), the Corruption Eradication Committee has 1 x 24 hours to determine the legal status of the parties in question.
Prior to this, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) had already uncovered a case of alleged corruption via OTT by arresting the Regent of Ponorogo, Sugiri Sukoco et al and the Governor of Riau Abdul Wahid et al.
