) revealed the Deputy Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia

Allegedly knowing the practice of extortion related to the management of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) certification which has been going on since 2019.
However, instead of stopping the practice, Noel, who began serving since October 2024, was actually involved in the corrupt practice.
“In the layman’s view, if he entered (extortion practices) immediately stopped, it means he carried out his duties. Well, this is already from 2019 when entering up to 2025, this is still running, this extortion practice is still running, even when we arrest the hand it is running,” said the executor of the Deputy for the Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu in his office, Jakarta, Friday (22/8) afternoon.
“It means, that yes Ieg (Immanuel Ebenezer) is as explained by the chairman (Setyo Budiyanto) knows, let, even receive, request and receive something, Rp3 billion and also a motorbike. The motorbike is Ducati. Later it might be seen,” he continued.
Noel has denied the extortion as stated by the KPK.He also claimed not to be netted by arrest operations (OTT).
“I also want to clarify that I am not motivated. Secondly, my case is not a case of extortion, so that the narration outside does not become a dirty narrative burdensome me,” Noel said when he was about to be taken to the KPK Red and White House Detention Center, Friday (8/22).
Even so, on that occasion Noel conveyed an apology to the Indonesian people, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, and his family.
Besides Noel, the KPK named 10 other people as suspects and detention has also been held.
They are the Coordinator of the Institutional and Occupational Safety and Health Personnel (K3) in 2022-2025 Irvian Bobby Mahendro;Coordinator of Testing and Evaluation of Occupational Safety Competencies in 2022-present Gerry Aditya Herwanto Putra;Work Safety Sub-Coordinator Directorate of Bina K3 2020-2025 Subhan;Sub-Coordinator of Partnership and Occupational Health Personnel in 2020-present Anitasari Kusumawati;and Director General of Employment of Employment and Occupational Safety and Health Supervision (DG Binwasnaker & K3) in March 2025-present Fahrurozi.
Furthermore, the Director of Institutional Development in 2021-February 2025 Hery Sutanto;Subkoordinator Sekarsari Kartika Putri;Supriadi Coordinator;Representative of PT Kem Indonesia Temurila;and Miki Mahfud who is also a party from PT Kem Indonesia.
Noel et al are suspected of violating Article 12 letter e and/or Article 12 b of the Corruption Eradication Act (Corruption Act) in conjunction with Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
