Budi explained that the search was carried out by investigators as a coercive measure in a series of investigative activities to search for and find evidence as regulated in the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP).
He added that investigators also asked for further information from the Regional Secretary and Head of the Protocol Section of the Riau Provincial Government.
“Confiscation of evidence and requests for information from various parties are very important to assist investigators in shedding light on this case,” he said.
The KPK, continued Budi, appealed to the parties to cooperate in assisting the ongoing law enforcement process.
The Corruption Eradication Commission also appealed to the people of Riau Province to remain active in supporting law enforcement work.
