) rejects the Provincial Minimum Wage
(UMP) DKI Jakarta 2026
which is set at IDR 5.72 million per month.
KSPI President and Labor Party Chair Said Iqbal said the UMP of IDR 5.72 million uses an alpha of 0.75.Meanwhile, according to him, the UMP should be determined by the feasibility index for decent living (KHL).
That way, the 2026 DKI Jakarta UMP should be IDR 5.8 million per month.

“KSPI and the Labor Party along with the union alliance throughout DKI Jakarta reject the increase in the DKI UMP which uses a certain index of 0.75 so that the minimum wage becomes IDR 5.73 million,” he said in a virtual press conference, Thursday (24/12).
“The latest stance of the DKI Jakarta labor alliance, including KSPI, is that the governor sets a minimum wage increase of 100 percent KHL. The value of 100 percent KHL is IDR 5.89 million,” he said.
Another reason KSPI rejects the DKI UMP of IDR 5.72 million is because it is below the 2026 Bekasi and Karawang City Minimum Wage (UMK) of IDR 5.95 million per month.Saiq Iqbal believes that the difference of IDR 200 thousand between the Jakarta UMP and the Bekasi and Karawang UMK is too big.
He also highlighted transportation incentives, PAM Jaya clean water subsidies, and BPJS health for workers provided by the DKI Provincial Government.According to him, these incentives will not be enough for workers.
“This incentive is not for workers, it is for the general public. It has nothing to do with workers’ wages,” said Said Iqbal.
The 2026 UMP increase was announced by DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung on the last day of the deadline set by the central government.He said that labor wages in Jakarta next year will increase by 6.17 percent.
“It has been agreed to increase the UMP for DKI Jakarta to IDR 5,729,876,” said Pramono at a press conference at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday (24/12).
Pramono emphasized that the DKI Jakarta Wage Council has held a number of meetings.He then decided to increase the 2026 UMP through a governor’s decision.
Pramono will also provide incentives for workers in DKI Jakarta.This addition includes transportation, food and health assistance which is also included in the governor’s decision.
Referring to Government Regulation (PP) Number 49 of 2025 concerning Wages, the formula for increasing the UMP next year is: Inflation + (Economic Growth x Alpha).The government sets the alpha range used as the basis for calculations at 0.5 to 0.9.
