Indonesian women’s singles badminton athlete,
Ni Kadek Dhinda Amartya Pratiwi
made a surprise by defeating Busanan Ongbamrungphan in the round of 32
Kumamoto Masters 2025
at the Kumamoto Prefectural Gymnasium, Wednesday (12/11).
Dhinda, who is currently ranked 92nd in the world, is not confused about facing Ongbamrungphan who is the sixth seed in the Super 500 level championship in Japan.
The 19 year old player recorded a 5-2 lead, but then fell behind 5-9.Losing consecutive points did not make Dhinda depressed.The score was 9-9.

After trailing 9-11 in the first game interval, Dhinda ‘went berserk’ and scored 11 points in a row which took him to a 20-11 lead.
Having failed several times to take advantage of the opportunity to finish the first game, Dhinda finally finished the opening game with a 21-15 win.

From 4-7 behind, Dhinda then equalized to 8-8.Dhinda then led 11-9.
A 14-11 lead did not allow Dhinda to gain further points.Instead it was Busanan who equalized the score at 14-14.
After that, Dhinda and Busanan continued to take turns winning points until the score was 21-21.Dhinda was then able to win two crucial points which allowed him to advance to the round of 16.
Next, Dhinda will meet Japanese badminton player, Asuka Takahashi, who in the first round beat Pai Yu Po 18-21, 21-12, 21-13.
