delay action
labor demonstration
which is planned to be held in front of the DPR/MPR RI building today, Monday (24/11).
President of KSPI and the Labor Party, Said Iqbal, said the demonstration was canceled because the government delayed announcing an increase in the minimum wage on November 21 2025.
“Labor action will certainly continue to be held one day before and one day after the government’s announcement if the 2026 minimum wage increase does not meet workers’ expectations,” said Said Iqbal in an official statement, Monday (24/11).

Apart from holding demonstrations, workers also plan to go on strike nationally, which will involve 5 million workers stopping production throughout Indonesia if the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) forces them to announce an increase in the 2026 minimum wage.
“Grand actions throughout Indonesia whose date will be determined later as a substitute for postponing the great action on November 24 2025 and secondly, a national strike whose time is estimated to be between the second week and the fourth week of December 2025, which will be attended by 5 million workers from more than 5 thousand companies stopping production in more than 300 districts/cities,” he said.
Meanwhile, workers also demanded three options for increasing the 2026 minimum wage in the same official statement.
First
, an increase in the minimum wage of 8.5-10.5 percent, as announced by Said Iqbal at the beginning of August 2025.
This figure was obtained from inflation of 3.26 percent, economic growth of 5.2 percent with a specific index of 1.0.So we get an increase in the minimum wage equal to 3.26 percent + (1.0 x 5.2 percent) = 8.46 percent which is rounded to 8.5 percent.
Meanwhile, the increase is 10.5 percent when using a certain index of 1.4, for example in North Maluku economic growth is above 30 percent, exceeding national economic growth.
Second
, the increase in the minimum wage for 2026 is 7.77 percent, based on macroeconomic figures released by BPS with inflation of 2.65 percent and economic growth of 5.12 percent with a certain index of 1.0 in the period October 2024 to September 2025. So we get an increase in the minimum wage equal to 2.65 percent + (1.0 x 5.12 percent) = 7.77 percent.
Third
, the 2026 minimum wage increase is 6.5 percent, the same as the value of the 2025 minimum wage increase which was raised by President Prabowo Subianto taking into account last year’s macroeconomic figures (inflation and economic growth) which are almost the same as this year’s macroeconomic figures, namely for the period October 2024 to October 2025.
“So if the Minister of Manpower decides on a Draft Wage Regulation which includes an increase in the minimum wage using a certain index value of 0.2 to 0.7, then it is certain that workers will go on a massive strike,” added Said Iqbal.
Furthermore, these actions were organized by an alliance of trade unions throughout Indonesia constitutionally by notifying law enforcement officials in accordance with Law Number 21 of 2000 and Law Number 9 of 1998, carried out in an orderly and peaceful manner, non-violence and anti-anarchism.
