According to him, these 14 days were declared an emergency response period, where saving the lives of residents affected by the incident, including those vulnerable to disasters, was the district government’s top priority.
“We haven’t thought about when to carry out reconstruction of damaged infrastructure. In this emergency response we are building two posts, the first in Sompok Sriharjo and Kedungjati Selopamiro, Imogiri,” he said.
According to him, the 14-day emergency response condition will be extended if necessary.
“In short, in this emergency response, the main focus is life safety, soul safety. So at the logistics post, no one should be hungry, underfed or unable to fulfill minimum daily living activities,” he said.
Halim said that due to the cut off of road access connecting Wunut Hamlet and Sompok Sriharjo Village, the regional government must guarantee the safety and security of the affected communities.
“And then after that the next stage is reconstruction, which is longer and more complicated,” he said.
