A total of nine teams managed to qualify for
U-17 Asian Cup
2026 without needing to take the qualification route.The following is a list of nine teams that have qualified for the U-17 Asian Cup.
The Indonesian U-17 national team is included in this list.The Garuda Asia team did this because they successfully competed in the 2025 U-17 World Cup.
In their second participation in the U-17 World Cup, the U-17 National Team’s progress stopped in the group phase.However, Evandra Florasta and his friends managed to make history by winning their first win when they beat Honduras 2-1.

Apart from Indonesia, the eight other teams are Japan, North Korea, Qatar, South Korea, Tajikistan, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia who will act as hosts.
These nine teams, including Indonesia, are the teams appearing in the 2025 U-17 World Cup. Three teams, namely Uzbekistan, North Korea and Japan, are still surviving by entering the round of 16.
The U-17 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia will take place from 7-24 May 2026. The qualifying rounds will take place from 22 November 2025 in seven countries.A total of 38 countries will take part in this event.
Later, only seven teams will have the right to qualify for the 2026 U-17 Asian Cup. These seven teams are at the top of their respective groups.The match system used in qualifying is a single round robin.
The 2026 U-17 Asian Cup is also a qualifying event for the 2026 U-17 World Cup. A total of eight teams, not including host Qatar, which will definitely qualify for the 2026 U-17 World Cup, will compete for eight tickets.
