(MA) states the total criminal sentence that must be served by
Mario Dandy Satrio
is 18 years in prison for two cases, namely abuse and molestation of minors.
Mario Dandy was sentenced to 12 years in prison by the South Jakarta District Court, according to the appeal decision which upheld the first court verdict in the abuse case, and 6 years in prison as the appeal decision in the molestation case.
“The length of the sentence that must be served is 18 years in prison: 12 plus 6 [years]. The length of the prison sentence is in accordance with the provisions of Article 71 of the Criminal Code,” said MA spokesperson Yanto at a press conference in Jakarta, Wednesday (26/11).

Mario Dandy is the son of Rafael Alun Trisambodo, a former official at the Directorate General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance who later became a convict in cases of gratification and money laundering (TPPU).
He explained that Mario Dandy was facing two cases with two separate indictment files.This, he said, is different from the concept

, namely the combination of several criminal acts committed by one perpetrator at different times.

Previously, the Supreme Court rejected Mario Dandy’s cassation request in the case of molesting a minor, AG, who was his ex-girlfriend.Therefore, the verdict against the person concerned remains as handed down by the appeals court.
The DKI Jakarta High Court stated that Mario Dandy was proven to have committed the act of persuading a child to have sexual intercourse with him which was carried out continuously.
Therefore, the panel of appeals judges sentenced Mario Dandy to 6 years in prison and a fine of IDR 1 billion, subsidiary to 2 months in prison.This decision is heavier than the South Jakarta District Court’s sentence of only 2 years in prison.
Mario Dandy’s name emerged after the abuse case went viral on social media.David Ozora, the victim of the abuse, suffered serious injuries.
In that case, Mario Dandy was sentenced to 12 years in prison and paid restitution of IDR 25,140,161,900 by the South Jakarta District Court.
Mario filed an appeal and cassation, but both of his legal efforts failed.The panel of appeals judges upheld the first court’s decision, while the Supreme Court rejected the cassation request.
Apart from Mario Dandy, two other defendants who were involved in the abuse have also been sentenced, namely AG was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison and Shane Lukas was sentenced to 5 years in prison.
At the same time as investigating the abuse case, Mario Dandy was reported on suspicion of sexual abuse by AG (15), who was his girlfriend when the abuse occurred.Mario Dandy was then named a suspect.
