Madonna Urges Pope Leo Meet Children in Gaza: Before it’s too late

Madonna said he asked Pope Leo to visit Gaza because “politics cannot affect change,” but “awareness can do it.”
In the upload published on his son’s birthday, Rocco, Madonna said the best gift he could give to his son was “asking everyone to do what they could help save innocent children who were trapped in a shootout in Gaza.”

Madonna said that she “did not blame, or sided.”
“Everyone suffers. Including the mothers of the hostages. I pray that they are also released,” he said.

Madonna’s comments emerged when more and more artists, including Massive Attack, Brian Eno, and the latest U2, had highlighted the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
In a show at the end of 2023, Madonna also criticized the October 7 attack led by Hamas against Israel, and Israel’s military response.He called the military aggression “heartbreaking.”

According to UNICEF, the UN agency for children, more than 18,000 children have been killed in Gaza since the attack began in October 2023. The average 28 children were killed every day there, the agency said last week.
