“These medicines were donated by the Malaysian people, this is assistance to us,” said Mualem, Saturday (29/11).
This assistance will be combined with basic food packages and other basic necessities to be immediately distributed to affected areas.
Head of the Aceh Customs and Excise Regional Office, Bier Budy Kismulyanto, confirmed that his party had specifically served the arrival of humanitarian aid from Malaysia.
The aid consisted of 82 cartons of medical equipment which were sent with a team of Malaysian doctors as a form of solidarity with the people of Aceh who were affected by the floods and earthquake.
“The entire process of arrival, inspection and processing of customs facilities is guaranteed to run quickly through a special service route (fast track) in accordance with the support requested by the Aceh Government,” said Budy.
