Hannah Yeoh believes that the naturalized player scandal that hit FAM is something that cannot be allowed to happen again.
Hannah Yeoh stated that the investigation process and recommendations that have been issued must begin to be implemented.Because this incident is something that tarnishes Malaysia’s name.
“What I want is very clear, so that the report [the results of the independent investigation] can be read, then action is taken, and it is moved by the competent authorities.”

“We can’t let this happen again,” Hannah said.
Hannah then emphasized that any form of naturalization process in the future must involve the National Sports Council, aka NSC.With NSC verification, the naturalization process will be more transparent.
“The NSC has to see whether the [national] team really needs hereditary players.”
“We want naturalization based on sports aspects, not just shortcuts,” said Hannah.
Hannah also reminded that the Government cannot just intervene. For this reason, he chose to be careful in viewing and acting in this case.
“If the government intervenes in FAM, we risk facing punishment. However, we can strengthen governance through the system we have,” said Hannah.
Hannah said that stopping financial assistance for FAM was a form of anticipation of accountability for public funds.
“I am holding back the flow of funding not to impose punishment. We want to see the existing recommendations implemented first. Public money must be protected,” said Hannah.
