Malaysian Minister of Youth and Sports, Hannah Yeoh explained the roadmap with the target for the Harimau Malaya squad to qualify for
2030 World Cup
as well as being ranked in the top five at the Asian level.
Hannah explained the timeline for the exploration of the Malaysian national team from time to time.In the roadmap, there are three levels as the basis for Harimau Malaya’s steps towards the world stage.

“Then followed by the second stage from 2023 to 2026 to reach the Asian level and the third stage from 2027 to 2039 to form a world-class national team,” he added.
Hannah said that the roadmap entitled F:30 is a guideline for the Malaysian national team so that they can be consistent in their efforts to face the World Cup.He wants stage by stage to be fulfilled according to the target.
“In achieving that goal, guidelines will be provided to the authorities to form a sustainable generation of players,” said Hannah.
“Apart from that, improving financial stability, organization and FIFA rankings are also part of the study in this innovation,” Hannah continued.
Furthermore, Hannah wants the Malaysian League to continue to develop and be competitive in order to form a complete football ecosystem.According to him, a structured system can produce quality talent.
“Domestic leagues must be stronger, competitive, structured and professional, accompanied by infrastructure and high-level training facilities in establishing international cooperation,” saidĀ Hannah.
