Malaysia shares third position with 15 elite European countries plus South Korea, namely Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Norway, Portugal, South Korea, Spain, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
In the same ranking, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is firmly at the top with visa-free access to 179 destinations.The second position is occupied by Singapore and Spain.
Meanwhile, the weakest passports are still held by countries hit by prolonged conflict: Pakistan, Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria.

However, if you refer to the Henley Passport Index 2025 released by London-based Henley & Partners, Singapore remains the defending champion with visa-free access to 193 countries.South Korea and Japan stick to second place.
In the Henley Passport Index, Malaysia is ranked 12th along with the United States, both opening the doors to 180 countries for visa-free entry.
These two passport ranking indices may be different, but what is clear is that the Malaysian passport is stronger than the Indonesian passport.At Arton Capital, the Indonesian passport is in 54th position, while in the Henley passport index it is ranked 70th in the world on October 14 2025.
