Mali coach, Fousseni Diawara admitted that success in scoring quick goals was the key to beating
U-23 Indonesian National Team
with a score of 3-0 in a trial match at Pakansari Stadium, Bogor, Saturday (15/11).
Mali was already 1-0 up through Sekou Doucoure’s header after only five minutes of the match.The other two goals were scored by Wilson Samake in the 34th minute and Moulaye Haidara (90+1).
“We are very satisfied with this match. We are happy that we were able to score a goal so quickly. It helped us get into the game and gain confidence,” said Diawara at a press conference after the match at Pakansari Stadium, Saturday.

“We give instructions to the players, and those instructions they can carry out. That allows us to play some interesting series of games.”
Diawara then highlighted the game of the U-23 Indonesian National Team which he said could endanger his team at several moments.He also specifically praised the game of Garuda Muda captain, Ivar Jenner.
“We know this team will be well organized. We know they have players with a certain maturity, especially number five (Ivar Jenner),” said Diawara.
“They made it difficult for us several times from the wings. We had difficulty managing the space at the back. They showed that they can be dangerous. This is an interesting team with clear strengths but we can overcome them,” he added.
Diawara revealed that Manchester United player Sekou Kone will most likely get more playing minutes in the second trial match played on Tuesday (18/11).Kone only entered in the middle of the second half in the 65th minute.
“He will probably get playing time in the next match,” said Diawara.
