said the government would write off people’s business credit debts (
KUR
) micro, small and medium enterprises (
MSMEs
) who were affected by disasters in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra.
Maman said that currently ‘little people’ businesses affected by floods and landslides will be mapped according to a number of criteria based on the impact felt.For example, whether the impact is permanent or semi-permanent.
“We will formulate the steps. However, right now BNPB is focusing on disaster management, if we focus on economic recovery,” said Maman on the sidelines of the 2025 BIG Conference at the Raffles Hotel Jakarta, Monday (8/12).

“We are discussing this again. The President has already said that he will waive KUR for those affected by the disaster,” he continued.
However, Maman still cannot confirm the value of the KUR debt and the number of MSMEs that will be written off.This is because conditions in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra are currently not conducive.
“The most important thing is that we agree first that we first map out which MSMEs are affected,” said Maman.
Prabowo previously stated that he would abolish KUR for farmers whose land was affected by the hydrometeorological disaster in Sumatra.
He said this during a working visit to review the condition of damaged infrastructure in Bireuen Regency, Aceh following the flood and landslide disaster in Sumatra.
“Then KUR debts, because this is a natural situation, we will write off. So farmers don’t worry about not being able to pay back the debt, because this is not negligence, but a forced situation,” said Prabowo.
From his observations, Prabowo revealed that many rice fields and agricultural land had been damaged and dams had broken due to disasters since the end of last November.
