, Marquez admitted that his goal was always to fight for the championship title.However, he doubts he can repeat the greatness of the 2025 season next season.
“No, I never imagined such a great year. I hope that is the goal, I even said it, that I can try to fight for the world championship,” he told El Periodico.
“But, it’s not like this, securing the title with five races remaining. At the moment, I think it’s almost impossible to repeat it, because between sprints and races, there are so many points up for grabs every weekend, it’s not easy,” added Marquez.
The 32 year old racer said MotoGP 2025 was carried out solidly.Even though he made several mistakes, Marquez ‘paid him back’ by winning many races.
Currently, Marquez is still recovering from a shoulder injury after his accident at the 2025 Mandalika MotoGP. Alex Marquez’s older brother feels that his recovery is going well.
“We were in immobilization for four or five weeks, and of course, the arm lost a lot of strength, but now we are gradually improving, with check-ups every two weeks to make sure everything is going well and is appropriate.”
“The bones need to heal properly; we have to wait, and the ligaments also need to recover as well as possible. Hopefully, we can move on to a slightly more intensive rehabilitation soon,” said Marquez.
