“With Rifqi’s arrival, the player composition is complete again,” said Indra at a press conference in Thailand on Thursday (4/12), as reported on the official PSSI website.
Currently Kadek Arel and his friends are still in Bangkok for training camp.The plan is for the new Indonesian U-23 squad to head to Chiang Mai, the location of the match on Saturday (6/12).
“As of today [Thursday, 4/12], our squad is complete, 23 players according to regulations. We are in training camp and will move to Chiang Mai on the 6th afternoon.”
“The players are ready to compete in the first match on the eighth and the second match on the 12th,” said the coach from West Sumatra, explaining the team’s current condition.
Indra also couldn’t hide his joy.What makes Indra happy is that Indonesia U-23’s match schedule is now the same as the other groups, only twice.
“This is quite positive for us, including changing the schedule for the first match from the 5th to the 8th. This change provides better preparation space,” explained Indra.
