Debt collector aka eagle eye (

) who died as a result of being beaten by a mob in the Heroes’ Cemetery (TMP) area

, South Jakarta, Thursday (11/12), increased to two people.
South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Nicolas Ary Lilipaly said the first victim died at the scene, the second victim died in hospital.
“The two people who served as eagle eyes were abused and beaten until one died on the spot and the other died in hospital,” Nicolas told reporters, Friday (12/12).

According to Nicolas, the cause of the beating was triggered by motorbike credit debt.
“From this afternoon until evening, we handled cases that started with, in other words, an eagle eye, wanting to collect motorbikes which indicated that they had not paid their credit,” he said.
Nicolas said that the vehicle owner who had not received the money mobilized his friends to collect it.However, the two people tasked with collecting the debt were beaten to death.
In this incident, the group of the two victims asked for responsibility for the beatings their friend experienced.Meanwhile, local residents also asked that the perpetrators of the beatings be immediately handed over to the police.
“We from Polda Metro Jaya, Polres and Polsek, and also Brimob, we are trying to secure the residents here, so that this group does not appear because they are already planning to retaliate,” said Nicolas.
Police were immediately deployed on Thursday (11/12) evening to stand guard at the scene of the incident.The police also coordinated with the South Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-Department to extinguish the fire caused by the kiosks being burned by the crowd.
On Friday morning, the TNI and Polri were still on guard at the location to ensure safe conditions for people passing by.
Previously, there was a beating in the Kalibata area, South Jakarta, killing two debt collectors or eagle eyes and causing traffic jams, Thursday (11/12) evening.
