Work From Anywhere

) for employees on 29-31 December 2025.
This appeal is a follow-up to the results of the cabinet meeting which discussed efforts to optimize community mobility during Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 (Nataru).
He explained that a circular regarding the WFA application advice to companies was being prepared.

“We also urge companies to provide opportunities for workers or laborers to implement policies, previously called Flexible Working Arrangement (FWA) or perhaps more commonly Work From Anywhere (WFA),” said Yassierli during a press conference at the Jakarta Creative Hub, Central Jakarta, Thursday (18/12).
However, Yassierli emphasized that the WFA policy can still be excluded in important sectors, including public services which include health, manufacturing, hotels, hospitality, shopping centers, the food and beverage industry, and other essential sectors.

“Of course certain sectors can be excluded, which are related to public services,” he explained.
Despite implementing the WFA, Yassierli asked the company to continue paying employee wages in accordance with the agreement.
“Of course, regarding wages during the implementation of this WFA, we also urge them to be given according to the wages received when carrying out work at the usual place of work or in accordance with the agreed wages,” said Yassierli.
Apart from that, he also appealed to companies not to count WFA as annual leave.

Previously, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto proposed to President Prabowo Subianto to implement the scheme

(WFA) for workers on 29-31 December 2025.
He conveyed this proposal at a plenary cabinet meeting at the State Palace, Jakarta, Monday (15/12).
Airlangga said that the family’s trip could be hindered if the parents were still working that day.Therefore, he proposed that workers could work from anywhere during the last three days of this year.
“Therefore, we propose that between 29, 30 and 31 (December) we propose to work from anywhere and everywhere,” said Airlangga.
