Plenary Meeting initiated by Rais Aam, Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (
PBNU
) attended by two Red and White Cabinet ministers, namely the Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar and the Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf or Gus Ipul, Monday (9/12) evening.
Gus Ipul was previously removed by PBNU General Chair Yahya Cholil Staquf (Gus Yahya) from the position of PBNU Secretary General.
The plenary meeting was held at the Sultan Hotel, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (9/12) evening.

Based on monitoring at the location, Minister of Religion Nasaruddin was seen arriving at around 21.25 WIB.He, who is also the Grand Imam of the Istiqlal Mosque, was immediately greeted by Gus Ipul, and led him to the meeting room which had already been opened.
The meeting took place behind closed doors from media crews.Until this news was written, the meeting was still ongoing.The meeting was opened by Rais Aam Chairman KH Miftahul Akhyar.Furthermore, the plenary agenda was led by Rais Syuriah Muhammad Nuh.
The plenary was held to elect the Acting Chairman of PBNU after the General Chairman of Tanfidziyah Yahya Cholil Staquf alias Gus Yahya was dismissed on November 20.
The agenda was conveyed in a letter issued on December 2 2025 numbered 4799/PB.02/A.I.01.01/99/12/2025 which was signed by Rais Aam PBNU KH Mifrachul Akhyar and Katib Syuriyah PBNU KH Ahmad Tajul Mafakhir or Gus Tajul.
“Following up on the results of the decision of the Syuriyah Daily Meeting of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board on 29 Jumadal Ula 1447 H/20 November 2025 AD in Jakarta as attached to the Minutes of the Meeting,” quoted the letter.
