The latest electric motor is still in the discussion stage and has not been completed.
“The discussion has not been completed. So the government is still looking for a new scheme, or a scheme that can be received by all business actors,” Faisol said in an interview show

Faisol highlighted one of the considerations that was the development of electric motors based on Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) when the government again encouraged downstreaming nickel.
“So that downstreaming is running, the Nickel Base is running, but there is also space for businesses that are committed to supporting the government in net zero emissions and also encouraging the automotive sector to develop but using the LFP base, it still has space,” explained Faisol.
The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) once explained that there were efforts to provide electric motor incentives divided into two categories, namely Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) and Lithium battery -based motors.
Each category must meet the level of domestic components (TKDN) of at least 40 percent.While the incentives prepared are the Value Added Tax (VAT) borne by the government (DTP) of 6 percent for SLA and 12 percent for Lithium.
“This discussion has not been completed. I think there will be a policy that might be more specific details, which might separate the LFP Base from Nickel Base, but this discussion hasn’t been completed,” Faisol said.
Faisol once said this incentive would be published in August, but it was not carried out.Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita in early September explained that the draft incentive scheme had been completed and was waiting for the decision of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs (Kemenko Economy).
“It’s finished, and once the Banteng Field (Kemenko Economy) sets its value and so on, we are ready,” Agus said in Jakarta, Wednesday (3/9).
The Ministry of Economy then stated that the incentive of electric motors will be combined in the third quarter economic stimulus package 2025.
Secretary of the Ministry of Economy Susiwijono Moegiarso said that his party had received a letter from the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) about this incentive and immediately reviewed to implement detailed rules.
“Thus, because (the schedule of application) resigned right. Yesterday we received a letter, we were together at the same time in a package of economic stimulus,” Susiwijono said in Jakarta, Tuesday (9/9).
