inactive, Mirwan MS will return to undergo a coaching program from the Ministry of Home Affairs when he is temporarily dismissed as Regent of South Aceh.
Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian said Mirwan would undergo an ‘internship period’ during his temporary dismissal as regent.
“But we ask the person concerned to go back and forth to the Ministry of Home Affairs for an internship for the next three months, we will develop them again,” said Tito at a press conference, Jakarta, Tuesday (9/12) yesterday.

Tito regrets Mirwan’s attitude of insisting on going abroad even though he did not receive permission from the Aceh Provincial Government and the Ministry of Home Affairs.
He admitted that he had contacted Mirwan to ask about that.Tito said that Mirwan admitted that he had a promise, aka a vow, that had to be fulfilled.
“I asked the person concerned, he stated that he already had vows, I don’t know what vows he made and then carried out the Umrah pilgrimage,” he said.
Mirwan recently became the spotlight after going on the Umrah pilgrimage without obtaining permission from the Aceh Provincial Government and the Ministry of Home Affairs.Mirwan’s behavior did not escape the attention of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.
As a result of his actions, Mirwan was subject to sanctions in the form of temporary dismissal for three months from his position as Regent of South Aceh.Minister of Home Affairs Tito said Mirwan’s dismissal was in accordance with the regulations in Law 23/2014 concerning Regional Government.
Tito said Mirwan had violated the provisions stipulated in Law 23/2014 concerning Regional Government.
At the same time, the Ministry of Home Affairs appointed Deputy Regent Baital Mukadis as Acting.The Regent of South Aceh during Mirwan was dismissed for three months.
On the other hand, Mirwan MS claims to have accepted gracefully the decision to put him on inactive status for three months.Mirwan said this decision was an important lesson for him to increase professionalism and strengthen the quality of public services in the future.
“We hope that conditions will soon return to being conducive so that services to the community, disaster management and regional development agendas can continue without obstacles,” said Mirwan in his statement, Tuesday (9/12) evening.
Mirwan also apologized to the Indonesian people, especially the people of Aceh and South Aceh, for the commotion that has occurred in recent times.
He invited the entire community, religious leaders and youth to maintain a peaceful atmosphere and together support the acceleration of disaster management in South Aceh and other Aceh regions.
