IKN
) 190 years.
Airlangga said the government was still sticking to its original plan for the investment target in IKN.
“If the IKN (target) continues according to plan,” said Airlangga at UGM, Sleman, DIY, Wednesday (19/11).

However, Airlangga will still see whether or not the Constitutional Court’s decision will have an impact on the investment climate in the new capital.
However, in order to stimulate investor interest, Airlangga emphasized that the Indonesian Government is always open and continues to think about ways to attract investment.
“Indonesia is open to investment, so we continue to attract investment because investment creates jobs and in the downstream ecosystem it also generates foreign exchange,” he concluded.
The Constitutional Court (MK) officially canceled the granting of 190-year cultivation rights (HGU) in the National Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago, a regulation issued in the era of the 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
The Constitutional Court granted part of the petition in case number: 185/PUU-XXII/2024 from Stepanus Febyan Babaro (private employee) and Ronggo Warsito (trader).
The petitioners tested the constitutionality of the norms of article 16A paragraph 1, paragraph 2, paragraph 3 of Law Number 21 of 2023 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 3 of 2022 concerning IKN.
Not only HGU, the Constitutional Court also decided that granting building use rights (HGB) and 160 year use rights (HP) in IKN did not have binding legal force.This decision resulted in the two-cycle mechanism of HGU, HGB and HP being annulled.
The Constitutional Court’s decision emphasized that the granting of land use rights such as HGU, HGB and HP in IKN cannot use a two-cycle 95 year scheme, and must again follow national boundaries with a clear and measurable evaluation mechanism.
Minister of ATR/Head of BPN Nusron Wahid meanwhile emphasized that his party together with OIKN and other related ministries will immediately coordinate to harmonize regulations and align technical rules.The aim is to ensure that all implementation in the field runs in accordance with the provisions of the Constitutional Court.
