MKD Rejects Resignation of DPR Member, Sara Gerindra Opens Her Voice

Rahayu Sarawasti Djojohadikusumo alias Sara finally opened her voice after her request to resign as member of the DPR RI was rejected by the Council of Honor Court (MKD).
Sara received information that she was determined to still be a member of the DPR on Thursday (30/10), namely via WhatsApp message.He emphasized that he had been offline from social media for more than a month because of the post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) he was experiencing.
“I asked on what basis did the Party MK (Honorary Court) and MKD reject my resignation?”wrote Sara on Instagram @rahayusaraswati, Sunday (9/11).

On the other hand, President Prabowo Subianto’s nephew saw support from the residents of West Jakarta, North Jakarta and the Thousand Islands.Sara said 10,951 residents signed the petition rejecting her resignation as a member of the DPR RI.
Sara said she still didn’t know how to respond to MKD’s decision.He asked all parties to give him time to make a decision.
“Therefore, with permission and without reducing my respect to the party and faction leaders, as well as to the electoral district constituents, figures and seniors who have asked me to return. I ask for time to make a decision so as not to be careless,” he said.
“Even though I resigned gracefully, I understand that the intention of all those who signed the petition was to show support and love for me. But I ask permission and apologize if I have not been able to respond to the news of the rejection of my resignation with joy or provide reassurance as an answer,” stressed Sara.
MKD said that it had discussed and considered legal aspects, MKD procedural provisions, as well as the decision of the Gerindra Party Honorary Council.So they decided that Sara would continue in her position, even though she had stated that she would resign on September 10 2025.
“The DPR RI MKD has decided that Sister Rahayu Saraswati will remain as a Member of the RI DPR for the 2024-2029 period,” emphasized the MKD in a written statement, Thursday (30/10).
Previously, Sara apologized for her statement which was in the spotlight on February 28 2025.That was the reason he resigned as a member of Parliament.
