In his considerations, Deputy Chair of the MKD, Imron Amin, said that the statement by Adies, who at that time served as Deputy Chair of the DPR from the Golkar faction, had no intention of harassing or insulting anyone.
“The Court is of the opinion that defendant Adies Kadir had no intention of harassing anyone or insulting anyone. The clarification made by defendant Adies Kadir was very appropriate,” said Imron.
The statement in question was made by Adies on August 19 when he said that the Rp. 50 million housing allowance received by DPR members as a substitute for official housing was still reasonable.Adies later clarified his statement and the housing allowance was revoked.
Even so, MKD reminded MKD to be more careful in conveying statements in interviews with the media.
“If you are asked for information on an impromptu doorstop interview that tends to be technical, Adies Kadir must prepare complete and accurate materials,” said Imron.
Meanwhile, MKD assessed that Uya Kuya’s dancing action at the MPR Annual Session on August 15 also had no intention of demeaning anyone.Based on expert information, MKD said that the dancing was not carried out to celebrate the DPR’s salary increase.
Because at the Annual Session and the Joint DPR-MPR Session, there was no announcement of a salary increase. In contrast to Uya, even though he was complained about the same case, Eko was given an inactive sanction of four months.
The difference is, MKD highlighted Eko’s reaction to public criticism of the dancing, by parodying it on social media.
“The Court is of the opinion that Surya Utama [Uya Kuya] was actually the victim of false news,” said Imron.
