Deputy Chairman of the DPR, Cucun Ahmad Syamsurizal, said that his party had received a letter from the MKD, both regarding the status of the five DPR members who had been suspended and regarding cuts to recess funds.
According to Cucun, the decision will be conveyed through the DPR plenary session.Later, the plenary session will simultaneously activate the status of Adies and Uya Kuya after passing MKD sanctions.

“So the MKD leadership has sent a letter to the DPR leadership, regarding all decisions taken by the MKD, to be conveyed at the plenary meeting,” said Cucun at the parliament complex, Thursday (6/11).
“Yes, it will be announced first at the plenary session,” he added when asked about the status of Adies and Uya.
However, Cucun cannot confirm when the plenary session will be held.According to him, the plenary session will be discussed first through the Deliberative Body and leadership meeting.
“I don’t know yet, but later Bamus will have to organize the plenary schedule,” he said.
Meanwhile, DPR Speaker Puan Maharani said that her party respects the MKD’s decision regarding the five DPR members who were suspended following the wave of demonstrations from 25-31 August.
Puan admitted that she would immediately follow up on the decision after communicating with other DPR leaders.
“We’ll see what the decision was yesterday and today there is no agenda, so maybe I will talk to the leaders first,” said Puan.
The MKD held a trial regarding alleged ethical violations against five inactive DPR members following the wave of demonstrations at the end of last August, Wednesday (5/11).
Adies Kadir and Uya Kuya were the defendants who escaped sanctions.Meanwhile, the remaining three: Ahmad Sahroni, Eko Patrio, Nafa Urbach, were declared to have violated ethics and were sentenced to inactivity for 6 to 3 months.
Apart from that, the MKD also decided that recess funds would be cut to 22 points from the original 26 points.
Deputy Speaker of the DPR, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, revealed that the MKD’s decision to cut the number of recess points automatically cut recess funds for council members.
Dasco explained that after the decision, the recess funds would be around IDR 500 million from the original IDR 702 million.
“There has been a reduction in the cost component from IDR 702 [million] to only IDR 500 [million],” said Dasco when contacted, Thursday (6/11).
