, Muhammad MTA revealed that more than 50 percent of villages or gampongs in Aceh were affected by the disaster
flood
flash and landslides.
“The affected areas are 18 districts/cities from 23 districts/cities in Aceh, 229 sub-districts, 3,310 villages or gampongs from the total number of villages or gampongs in Aceh of 6,497 villages or gampongs, meaning more than 50 percent are affected,” said Muhammad in a press conference, Thursday (4/12).
Muhammad said that of the 18 affected districts/cities, 15 of them were in an emergency alert position.

Namely, Pidie Jaya, Bireuen, Lhokseumawe, North Aceh, Bener Meriah, East Aceh, Langsa, Aceh Tamiang, Southeast Aceh, Aceh Singkil, Subulussalam, South Aceh, Gayo Lues, Central Aceh and Nagan Raya.
Meanwhile, three other districts/cities are in an emergency response position.Namely West Aceh, Aceh Besar and Pidie.
Muhammad also reported damage to public facilities in Aceh due to floods and landslides.Namely, 138 office units were damaged, 51 places of worship were damaged, 201 school units were damaged, 64 Islamic boarding school units were damaged and 204 hospitals/health centers were damaged.
“There was 302 damage to roads, 152 bridges. Then there were 78,076 houses, 182 livestock, 55,404 hectares of rice fields and 12,700 hectares of gardens,” he said.
Previously, BNPB reported that the number of victims who died in flash floods and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra (North Sumatra) and West Sumatra (Sumbar) increased to 836 people as of Thursday (4/12) afternoon.
In detail, in Aceh it was reported that there were 325 deaths, in North Sumatra 311 deaths were recorded and in West Sumatra there were 200 deaths.
Meanwhile, there were 170 missing victims in Aceh, 127 in North Sumatra and 221 in West Sumatra.In total there are 518 missing victims who are still being searched for.
