“Therefore, they hope that the central government will immediately rebuild the houses they abandoned or were destroyed by the disaster,” said Muzani in a written statement, Saturday (13/12).
Muzani said that from the results of the survey the entire North Aceh region was affected by the disaster.25 sub-districts were heavily damaged, and 2 sub-districts were slightly damaged.
“North Aceh consists of 27 sub-districts, 25 sub-districts were severely affected and two sub-districts were lightly affected. This means that the entire district was affected by the disaster,” said Muzani.
He stated that currently there are more than 100 thousand residents who have fled, but most of them have not been accommodated in temporary housing.
In the end, the refugees were forced to stay at relatives’ houses, schools and mosques which were in higher locations and not affected by the flood.

The community hopes that village, sub-district and district road access can be immediately restored to support activities and distribution of aid.
