furious with the regional head who was late in coming to the field to monitor the situation
floods and landslides
in their respective areas.
According to him, they only slowed down disaster management because of a lack of coordination, especially since there was the issue of regional heads running away from responsibility during disasters.

“Don’t be a crybaby, you have to be proactive in defending the community, don’t run away. Don’t make excuses, I hope the mayor of the regent will be a crybaby,” said Mualem when visiting flood victims in East Aceh, Thursday (4/12).
He also ordered village heads and sub-district heads to be more proactive in handling and ensuring that aid could be distributed to refugees.
“All government agencies, from the keuchik (village head) to the sub-district head, must be proactive,” he said.
Currently, his party is still focusing on distributing logistics evenly first, so that there are no more refugee locations that do not receive logistics.
Then access to health is also in Mualem’s spotlight. While reviewing areas badly affected by flooding, there were still many evacuees who needed the presence of medical personnel and medical assistance.
“We are maximizing, especially basic necessities first, then health issues and we have received support from Malaysia,” he said.
He said that of the 18 areas affected by the disaster, there were several whose conditions were quite serious, such as Aceh Tamiang, North Aceh, Central Aceh, East Aceh, Bener Meriah and Gayo Lues.
