The trial was held at the Corruption Crime Court (Tipikor) at the Central Jakarta District Court (PN).

“The schedule for the first trial in the Ministry of Education and Culture’s Chromebook procurement case with defendant Nadiem Makarim et al is Tuesday 16 December 2025,” said Central Jakarta District Court Spokesperson M. Firman Akbar in a written statement, Wednesday (10/12).
Apart from Nadiem, three other defendants were also tried on the same date.
They are the Director of Elementary Schools, Directorate General of Early Childhood Education, Primary Education and Secondary Education for 2020-2021, Sri Wahyuningsih (SW);Director of SMP Kemendikbudristek 2020, Mulyatsyah (MUL);and Individual Consultant for School Resource Management Technology Infrastructure Improvement Design at the Ministry of Education and Culture, Ibrahim Arief (IBAM)
The case will be examined and tried by the chairman of the panel, Purwanto S. Abdullah, with judges including Sunoto, Eryusman, Mardiantos and Andi Saputra.
Previously, the Attorney General’s Office said that the alleged corruption case involving Nadiem et al was estimated to have caused state financial losses amounting to IDR 2.1 trillion.
“From the results of calculating state losses, figures were obtained, namely the expensive price of Chromebooks amounting to IDR 1,567,888,662,719.74 and the unnecessary and useless procurement of Chrome Device Management amounting to IDR 621,387,678,730,” said the Director of Prosecution at the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes at the Attorney General’s Office, Riono Budisantoso, last Monday (8/12).
“So the total state losses reached more than IDR 2.1 trillion,” he continued.
