said that the condition of the suspected perpetrator of the explosion at
SMAN 72
, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta is now starting to improve.
The alleged perpetrator is 17 years old and is a student at the school.Listyo hopes that the perpetrator’s condition will improve soon so that it will be easier for the authorities to carry out investigations.

“For the suspected perpetrator, his condition is getting better. And hopefully this will also make things easier for us when the time comes, if we need it,” said Listyo at a press conference at the Cempaka Putih Islamic Hospital, East Jakarta, Saturday (8/11).
The press conference took place after Listyo visited the victims who were still being treated.Of the total 96 victims, there are still 14 people being treated at Cikini Islamic Hospital, 14 people at Yarsi Hospital, and 1 person at Pertamina Hospital.
Listyo said that although the alleged perpetrator had so far been identified, the authorities were still investigating the alleged involvement of other parties in this action.
“Currently we still have one (suspected perpetrator). However, we are not stopping there, we are continuing to investigate whether there are other parties and currently the team is working,” he said.
Apart from that, Listyo admitted that his party was still investigating the perpetrator’s motives for carrying out his actions.Especially regarding the alleged influence of certain ideologies.
“Is exposure to content or maybe things that make him interested and also what is related to that is the reason for doing that,” he said.
The explosion occurred at SMAN 72, Kelapa Gading, Jakarta, Friday (7/11) afternoon.In total, 54 people were injured as a result of the incident.Some victims have been discharged.
Up to a day after the incident, 29 victims were still being treated in a number of hospitals.Apart from RSI Cempaka Putih, there are also Yarsi Hospital and Pertamina Hospital.
“So the total number of people still being treated is approximately 29 out of 96. And the rest went home yesterday and may be undergoing outpatient treatment,” said Listyo.
