National Police Headquarters sent food and logistical assistance to victims of natural disasters in Aceh, North Sumatra (North Sumatra), and West Sumatra (Sumbar) on Saturday (29/11).

In the future, aid will be focused first on provincial capitals.Then, it will be distributed using a National Police helicopter to the affected villages.
“We use a helicopter. But even with a helicopter, we have to look for a place to land. This is what we are still seeing there, but it has been prepared by the affected regional police or the affected police. Everyone has prepared this to speed up the delivery of logistical assistance,” said Laksana.
Meanwhile, Head of the Public Information Bureau (Karopenmas) of the National Police’s Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Pol.Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko said that aid was sent using two CN and Fokker aircraft.
The logistical assistance sent to Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra was 1,500 items needed for vulnerable people, namely mothers and children.Then, school clothes, school bags, medicines, fast food or fast food, folding mattresses and mineral water.
Apart from that, there is also medicine for insects or mosquitoes, blankets and life jackets.The National Police Headquarters also sent logistics to assist with the mitigation and evacuation process by Regional Police personnel in the three provinces.
For the Aceh Regional Police, the items sent were 20 rubber boats, 120 life jackets for boats, 10 platoon tents, two tents for the National Police Dokkes, 200 velbeds (folding mattresses), 2,000 additional police food (MTP), 3 portable solar generators, and techno WiFi.
“[WiFi technology] is of course also needed for communication,” said Trunoyudo.
Then, for the North Sumatra Regional Police, the items sent were 60 life jackets, 500 raincoats, 7 platoon tents, 300 velbeds, 3,000 MTPs, 1,000 packs of masks, and 3 generators.
Then, for the West Sumatra Regional Police, the items sent were 3 rubber boats, 18 buoys, 10 platoon tents, 300 velbeds, 2,000 MTPs, 200 pointed shovels, and 100 brown ponchos.
